Common questions and answers.

Q.
When I place an order, what happens next.

A.
When you place an order, you will be given ship to instructions on where to send your films. I assume no responsibility for the shipment from the customer getting lost or damaged, as well as sending it back. I will however enforce insurance coverage into my return shipping cost. This is usually a nominal fee like $2.00 for up to $199 of insurance coverage via usps.com.Should the film be lost or damaged after leaving my possession, any and all claims will be handled by the customer via usps.com and their claim management center. Here is a link to the USPS claim center http://www.usps.com/insuranceclaims/welcome.htm

Q.
When I received my film, it didn't look nearly as good as the ones shown on the screenshots and video page.

A.
Many films are shot in poor conditions, poor lighting, excessive lighting, and a number of other scenarios. Based on the condition and age of the film, results may vary. What I do differently than other services is make a short example of your movie, usually no more than 5 minutes, and show you what your films restoration potential is. Should you choose I can cancel the project and given a partial refund. I would then simply send the item back with your return shipping payment, and keep a $15 service fee for my time.

Q.
I had a video done by you a while back, and my son put it in the microwave. Can I get a replacement?

A.
I tend to keep at least one backup of every project I send out. This allows me to be able to quickly send out a replacement should the USPS lose the original. I can send a replacement video out to you for a marginal fee of $10 plus S&H of $8.10.

Q.
I was curious if you are able to do 16mm,8mm,Super 8, Betacam films as well?

A.
Currently we are unable to provide services for these formats. We are however pursuing the equipment to do these at this time.
